In March 2010 we staged the 2nd Empire Dance Show which is performed every 2 years. This years theme was opposites and featured all the students of the school in 34 original dances encompassing all the styles taught in our regular classes.
Empire Dance is an East Sussex based school near Lewes, run by Clare Lees AIDTA. Clare has over ten years experience in teaching and has danced since she was 3 years old. From taking GCSE and A Level dance, Clare proceeded to qualify as a teacher through the "International Dance Teachers Association" (IDTA) and is a mutually recognised member of the "Royal Academy of Dance" (RAD), fully insured and CRB checked. The school currently has over 200 students and offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Freestyle, Modern Jazz, Street and Hip Hop. Lessons are offered for children aged 3 to 16 with adult classes also available. In addition to regular lessons the school also offers professional training, one to one classes and IDTA examinations in all dance subjects.
